Sukayna Almusawi is a consumer protection attorney at Consumer Justice Law Firm.
Sukayna Almusawi received her Bachelor of Arts in Political Science, cum laude, from Wayne State University and her Juris Doctor, cum laude, from WMU Cooley Law School, where she was the recipient of both the Distinguished Student Award and the Leadership Achievement Award in recognition of her academic excellence, leadership, and service. She also holds a Certificate of Merit in Trial Skills.
During law school, Sukayna was actively involved in numerous student organizations, including Moot Court, the Organization for Women Law Students, the Student Bar Association, the Health Law Society, the Environmental Law Society, the Criminal Law Society, and the Cooley Volunteer Corps.
She also demonstrated a strong commitment to public service by completing over 100 hours of pro bono and community service work. Sukayna is currently a member of the National Arab American Bar Association (NAABA) and the Women Lawyers Association of Michigan (WLAM).
Prior to joining Consumer Justice Law Firm, Sukayna Almusawi served as a student prosecutor with the Ingham County Prosecutor’s Office under Michigan Court Rule 8.120. In this role, she prepared and litigated misdemeanor cases, including conducting pretrial hearings, negotiating plea agreements, and participating in jury trials.
Sukayna is fluent in Arabic and brings a culturally competent, client-centered approach to her practice. She is a member of the National Association of Consumer Advocates.
