Marquis Starks is an Associate Attorney with Consumer Justice Law Firm. Marquis works on the Employment Team focusing on race, sex, and disability discrimination, along with sexual harassment and unpaid wage matters. He attended Marquette University, graduating with a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science. Marquis attended and graduated with his Juris Doctor from the University of the District of Columbia David A. Clarke School of Law in Washington, D.C.
During law school, Marquis received the highest grade in Legal Research and Writing, as well as Legislation Clinic, and Advanced Torts. He served as a Time Dollar Youth Advocate Judge for the D.C. Superior Court youth diversionary program in Washington, D.C. and was Vice President of Equal Justice Works in law school. He is admitted to practice law in the District of Columbia and is in the process of being admitted to the United States District Court for the District of Columbia.
Marquis is from Milwaukee, Wisconsin and is a major fan of the Green Bay Packers football team. In his spare time, he enjoys reading, movies, writing poetry, watching sports and working out. Marquis now lives in Peoria, Arizona, near the Scottsdale office of Consumer Justice. He has experience as a public defender and has also worked in the areas of electronic document review, criminal defense, intellectual property, pharmaceutical law and administrative law as an Administrative Law Judge.
