Mehak Rizvi is an Associate at Consumer Justice. Mehak received her B.S. in Political Science, summa cum laude, from Arizona State University in 2017. Mehak graduated from Sandra Day O’Connor College of Law at Arizona State University in 2021 with Trial Advocacy and Pro Bono Certificates. During law school, Mehak was president of the Alternative Dispute Resolution Association. Mehak was also a student attorney at Arizona State University’s Civil Litigation Clinic, where she successfully represented clients. Mehak worked at various externships through law school, including at the Arizona Attorney General's Office in the Civil Rights Division and the Arizona Supreme Court.
Mehak previously worked at a consumer protection firm before joining Consumer Justice. At Mehak’s previous job, she also worked on various Fair Credit Reporting Act violation cases revolving mostly around post-bankruptcy credit reporting inaccuracies.
Mehak is passionate about consumer protection. Since she began working at Consumer Justice, Mehak has successfully litigated consumer protection cases with claims arising mostly under the Fair Credit Reporting Act, including but not limited to post bankruptcy inaccurate credit reporting, inaccurate employment reports, and inaccurate tenant screening reports. Mehak has been lead attorney on dozens of Fair Credit Reporting Act cases where she helped her clients receive a favorable outcome. Mehak has also helped clients resolve their claims for Bankruptcy Automatic Stay and Bankruptcy Discharge Injunction violations.
